A Message for Parents and Students: On-Site Activity Program (Years 9–13)
Assalaamu Alaikum parents / guardians
While students are away at camp, we are excited to offer a dynamic and purposeful three-day program right here at school for Years 9–13. Our goal is to provide an engaging alternative that balances creativity, community service, teamwork, and academic support.
Here’s a glimpse of what your daughter will experience:
Day 1: Creativity and Community
Storybook Creation: Middle School students (years 9 – 10) will design large-format storybooks, with Senior students (years 11 – 13) stepping into mentorship roles to assist with editing, binding, and quality control.
Community Giving: The finished storybooks will be gifted to local kindergartens (Kinderland / Y1 Al Madinah), connecting our students and their work to the wider community.
Masjid Visit: Students will learn about masjid etiquette, participate in a community service activity (cleaning), and join in Salat. (A separate excursion notice will be provided for this visit.)
Day 2: Collaboration and Fun
Storybook Completion: We will finalize, bind, and prepare our storybooks for gifting.
Amazing Race – Team Building: Students will be divided into Aélah groups (Mina,Safa, Marwa) and rotate through subject-based challenges. Each challenge teaches a teamwork skill and provides clues for the next location, culminating in a final challenge where all teams must unite.
Water Games: A fantastic opportunity for inter-age fun and physical activity alongside our Year 7–8 students.
Day 3: Competition and Legacy
Brains Competition: An indoor, Aélah-group competition featuring puzzles, rhyming
challenges, memory games, and critical thinking tasks.
Brawn Competition: An obstacle and relay race where Middle and Senior School students combine forces, supporting each other to succeed.
Subject Walls: Students will rotate across six subject areas to create permanent educational displays. Each section will feature an Inspire Zone,;Engage Zone, and Showcase Zone to leave a lasting legacy in the school.
Atrium Display: All completed work—storybooks, subject walls, and race achievements—will be proudly displayed in the atrium for the entire school community to enjoy.
Senior School Support
We recognize that Senior students have academic commitments. Time will be allocated for them to work on outstanding assessments, with staff available to provide tutoring where required.
In Summary:
This three-day program is designed to be a comprehensive and engaging alternative to camp. Students will:
Maximize learning through hands-on, cross-curricular projects.
Foster collaboration across Middle and Senior School cohorts.
Develop leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Connect with the community through service and giving.
Create lasting resources (storybooks and subject walls) that benefit the school and community.
All activities are designed to align with our school values. We look forward to a productive and enjoyable three days. We encourage all parents/ caregivers to send their daughter(s) to school every day. Every day matters.
Narrated Abu Hurairah:
that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever takes a path upon which to obtain knowledge, Allah makes the path to Paradise easy for him.
Sahih Muslim.
Jazak Allah khairan for your support in this matter.
Salaams
