Executive Officer

We are a small Muslim school with 145 students looking for a positive and professional EO.  Zayed College for Girls is a state-integrated school located in Mangere, Auckland.  We teach the full NZ Curriculum and Special Character Education for girls from Year 7 to 13.

We are looking for a person to fill the position of Executive officer.  This is a full time position (40 hours per week- Mon to Fri 8.30 to 4.30).  

The role of the Executive Officer includes:

  • Management of the school finances, from day to day processing 
  • Preparation of monthly Board reports and Annual accounts
  • Preparation of annual budget
  • Managing and liaising with audit general for school audit requirements 
  • Oversight of all property matters including managing the Caretaker & Cleaner and liaising with the school Property Manager
  • Administration of payroll processes using Novopay and EdPay
  • Management of school devices and liaising with external IT services provider 
  • Preferably the appointee will have experience in a school environment and be familiar with XERO software and be proficient in all Microsoft packages, particularly Excel.
  • Speak and write excellent English ,
  • Excellent organisational skill and  methodical, honest, 
  • Maintain confidentiality and work as a part of a small dedicated team.

School Administrator/Receptionist

(40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday to Friday).

Starting 25 January 2022

We are a small Muslim school with 145 students looking for a positive and professional receptionist/administrator who has excellent communication skills, an eye for detail, strong administration knowledge and is someone who will have the ability to liaise and work collaboratively with all areas of our school community. It is important that you can relate to the culture and values of our school including its special character.

The successful applicant will have:

an excellent personal and phone manner with a friendly, professional attitude, able to liaise with people of all ages and ethnicities; 
good computer literacy and competency in MS Office, Google Drive; KAMAR admin, website maintenance, creating certificates, school loop, and communication.
communication with the school’s external agencies and companies for orders. 
good common sense and a willingness to identify and take on even the mundane tasks which may be needed to support the office team 
a calm, unflappable nature and the flexibility to work additional hours if the need arises;
the skills to be a quick learner with excellent attention to detail who is task orientated and able to enter data quickly and accurately; for student enrollments.

 Previous school experience is an advantage.

Quran Teacher

Part time, Permanent, FTTE up to: 0.5

Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher

Zayed College is looking for a highly motivated and committed Quran teacher. The successful applicant must be qualified in Quran recitation with Tajweed and memorization and have undertaken some formal Islamic studies with excellent written and verbal English. 

Zayed College is a state-integrated special character Islamic secondary school for girls (Y7–13). A commitment to supporting and upholding the special character values of the school, expectations of high standards in all aspects of school life, and involvement in the co-curricular program of the college is a condition of appointment.

Applicants must have NZ permanent residents or hold a valid work visa.
